The Purple X Of Doom

I know this topic has been mulled over before, but due to my current mapping activity, I am in dire need of a few tabooed textrues. With that being said, I have to ask the age-old question:

How do I get rid of the purple Xs on certain textures?

either use different textures or photoshop the X away.

Or steal from Pissing Inforgaytion

last time i did it i used the clone tool and some clever blurring

and a clone stamp tool
