good, however remeber to think of where the docks are. That was literaly a test map, the docks were situated nowhere NERE city 17, so you should make a small citadel for the skybox, and maybe a smallish airex funnel aswell, distance my brother.

But still i always loved working on this map

I know very well where the docks are.but i'm not making this map correct to Valve's storyline.This is a recreation of an idea that came to me when i read that in an early storyline freeman was supposed to arrive in city 17 on board the Borealis.So i gave my imagination a go and imagined the City 17 docks,which i'm going to try and recreate in this map

well unlike SOME people i don't have the patience to wait 30 minutes for a fast compile every single time i decide to test it,so you're stuck with fullbright screens until i finish the external design and focus on lighting.

Since HAL is a fag and wants pics with lighting i made a fast compile of the still very early alpha map and took some screens of it for his amusement.

Much more stuff to do mate.I don't want the dock of City 17 itself to look like some piece of shit.

The one thing I could suggest is making the city skyline more diverse, adding some damaged European style buildings in the background, some of the futuristic Combine-like buildings from RTB.

yes agreed newcity i was actualy gonna discuss that with doom lol id also suggest turning the fog a darker colour, and having some smoke stacks
in the background and such, i just wanted him to bask in glory for a bit first before i had at it with the ideas ^^;

Ideas will wait.right now i'm struggling(staying next to the soldiers and listening to their chatter for some reason) to fix the billions of errors this map has

Well guys unless someone knows how to fix this the City 17 Docks are officially destroyed.

The file is there though.

Maybe it's a problem with your SDK. Try reinstalling it.
