To let you into what we're thinking (AND To what valve are thinking):
My story has been pulled from many things in my lifetime, from blade runner, to aliens....to this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105629/
I watched this movie, over and over when i was a kid, innocencent vs guilty... this is where the idea for my arcade came from, aswell as valve's.... The film focus' around a toy company. It's president is on death's door and hands the reighns to his brother who is in the military. Eventualy he wishes to change the way the company works, converting it to war toys, doesn't stop there though. He takes children, and hands them video games.....
"Children can fly remote controlled planes...patrick, its only the weapons there missing..."
this movie had so many memorable quotes that stick with me to this day.....
"Oh yeah! I love jokes! I love all kinds of jokes. But you know what I don't like? I don't like people trying to kill me, hurting my family and my friends, and destroying the whole world as I know it. That just doesn't sit well with me. I dunno' why, call me crazy...".
In the words of Mahatma Gumby, "We are toys of tolerance, but there's only so much that a toy can tolerate."
the ost was strange aswell, ranging from the lead singer of the buggles (guy who did video killed the radio star):
To frankie goes to hollywood:
To tori Amos:
This really isn't your typial film, if you don't like feel good movies then don't watch it, but to me, this film encompases a fight thats going on even to this day in our world, innocence vs guilt.
