I got the OICW from Missing Information. There's a alternative texture for it in the folder. I gave it normalmaps, phong, envmaps, and rimlighting.

If you mean aligning the muzzleflash attachment to the barrel, then yes. I've been experimenting with particle muzzleflashes but they're a bitch to get right. Mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing.
let's talk about the muzzleflash sprite. did you ever get one working on a gun? or do you know how to do it?

Yes, every weapon I port over from the Jedi Knight games gets a proper rig with correct attachments.
The muzzleflash isn't used on the viewmodel for that swep, but you can see the AR2 muzzleflash on the world model.
